SAINTE-MADELEINE CHURCH
Church featuring a gilded wooden altar in Courmes.
The well-restored 17th-century church of Sainte-Madeleine stands in the village square, curiously blending in with the adjoining house as if it were part of the dwelling! Its architecture is classical. It features an interesting square bell tower in the shape of a pyramid. Just push open the door to see its gilded wooden altar. Inside, you'll also find a reliquary and the tomb of the Lords of Cormis. Courmes is traditionally celebrated on the last weekend of August.
