THE SOURCES OF THE SIAGNE
Beautiful walks along the banks of the Siagne river to enjoy the cool summer air at Escragnolles.
The Siagne river rises at the foot of the Audibergue in the commune of Escragnolles in the Pre-Alps of Grasse and flows into the Gulf of Napoule at Mandelieu in the Mediterranean, 42 kilometres further downstream after having cut gorges up to 400 metres deep in limestone, giving what is known as a karstic relief. Several walks along the river, whose coolness is much appreciated in summer, are possible from the village. Beautiful walks in perspective!
