LA SOURCE PARFUMÉE
Old distillery where Joseph Roux and Jeanne distilled alpine flowers in their stills to obtain fine essences
Over a hundred years ago, Siméon Roux was growing orange trees. In 1946, his son Joseph and his wife Jeanne, then running a perfumery in Gourdon, distilled the flowers to extract their precious essences. Today, Chantal Roux, director of the Galimard perfumery in Grasse, continues this family history with La Source Parfumée. She invites visitors to discover Marie's Lavanderaie, located on the outskirts of the village, where they can stroll through flower-filled terraces. A site offering unique views over the Loup valley.
