A celebration of one of the emblems of Provence: lavender. In summer, it grows naturally on the slopes of the Cheiron.
Wild lavender, a flower so characteristic of Provence, colors the hillsides and mountains of the Alpes-Maritimes blue. What could be more appropriate than to celebrate this species, whose essential oil is so prized by perfumers in Grasse? In July, it is celebrated in Gréolières 1400, Gourdon and Caussols. You'll find a lavender market with local producers and craftsmen, a living beehive exhibition, a lavender distillation demonstration, all to the sound of folk groups.
