LE CHÂTEAU DE HAUTES GRÉOLIÈRES
This castle to the north of the village was destroyed during the Wars of Religion. It was never restored and is now abandoned.
The ruins of the castle can be seen above the village. In the 13th century, a keep was built on a rocky spur to the north of today's village. The year 1368 saw the reunification of the two sites following the marriage of Bourgette d'Agoult, lady of Hautes-Gréolières, to Giraud de Villeneuve, lord of Basses-Gréolières and baron of Vence. Hautes-Gréolières castle was destroyed during the Wars of Religion. It was never restored and was abandoned.
