Chapel built to ward off an epidemic of plague, housing a superb 12th century painting and a very special altar
Built to ward off a plague epidemic, which spared the whole village in the 16th century, the small Saint-Roch chapel was restored at the end of the 19th century. It houses a superb 12th century canvas and a very special altar, hand-carved in a stone millstone. Admirable! Saint-Roch is celebrated on August 16th by a very popular folk festival.
