Renovated hotel with well-equipped rooms and a restaurant in La Brigue.

At the entrance to the village, a building dating from 1893 houses a completely renovated hotel with well-equipped rooms. Since May 2022, it has been managed by the Prieuré de Saint-Dalmas-de-Tende. The restaurant is set up in a large veranda and offers a superb view of the mountains. The local cuisine is influenced by Italian gastronomy. The atmosphere is family and the welcome is warm. From June to September, the establishment offers guided excursions to discover the rich heritage of the Mercantour or the Vallée des Merveilles.

Arrivati alla sera, molto tardi. Non c'era personale di reception, ma con la prenotazione, al telefono, abbiamo ricevuto i codici di accesso per entrare da soli. Subito ci è sembrato un po' da film noir. Con la luce del giorno è apparso un luogo incantevole. Edificio liberty ai margini del bosco, con ristrutturazione moderna che ha mantenuto lo stile. La veranda per la prima colazione è un gioiellino. La stanza pulita e confortevole, con balconcino e doppia aria, bagno con vasca (no bidet, siamo in Francia????????‍♀️). I serramenti sono in legno originali, può succedere che passi qualche ragnetto. La colazione si paga a parte, 9 euro a testa, ma è a buffet senza limiti, prodotti cucinati freschi dolci e salati, frutta, pane, biscotti, marmellate in vasetto locali. Al mattino arriva il personale di servizio, gentilissimo.
