Sumptuous collegiate church in the Romanesque-Lombard style, topped by a 13th century Gothic bell tower in La Brigue
This sumptuous collegiate church in Romanesque-Lombard style, topped by a 13th-century Gothic bell tower, was partially rebuilt in the 15th century. It owes its name to Saint Martin, who came to preach in La Brigue before being elected bishop of Tours. The bell tower is typical of the Lombardy bell towers with its polygonal spire and its corner bells. The main interest lies in the pictorial works that the collegiate church contains, including the Adoration of the Child by Louis Brea and the triptych of Our Lady of the Snows attributed to Fuseri of Fossano.
