Prestigious sanctuary with particular paintings by 2 Italian artists in La Brigue is an artistic jewel without equivalent

This prestigious sanctuary, endowed with beneficial springs, has been a place of pilgrimage since the first centuries of our era. Not very impressive from the outside, the paintings that make up its interior decoration make it the "Sistine Chapel" of the Southern Alps. They are due to two Italian artists of great talent: Giovanni Canavesio and Giovanni Baleison. The 15th century frescoes are full of historical details, to be discovered during a guided tour.

Cette chapelle, isolée près du petit village de montagne est magnifique. On est surpris de découvrir une telle chapelle a cet endroit. La décoration de cette chapelle mérite vraiment le voyage.
