CHÂTEAU DES LASCARIS
A medieval-style defensive castle with an original round tower, it was the first residence of Count Ludovic Lascaris.
Located in the heart of the village and listed as a historical monument since 1949, the Lascaris castle was built in the pure medieval defensive style, with its original and very rare round tower. It was the first residence of Count Ludovic Lascaris, lord of half of Limone, first lord of La Brigue in 1376. The castle was destroyed in 1564 by an earthquake, and it was not until 1625 that one of the heiresses, wife of the Count of La Brigue, undertook its renovation. Since then, it has been partially restored.
