The chapel of Canadel, also called "Prieuré du Canadel" or "Prieuré de Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation" dates from the beginning of the 11th century. It is an integral part of the Canadel Abbey, which is now a charming hotel. Listed as a historical monument, it is also the oldest building in La Colle-sur-Loup. It was enlarged during the late 12th century as well as in the 13th century. You will discover a sumptuous broken vault, an apse in hemicycle and a unique nave of Romanesque style.
