CHÂTEAU DE MONTFORT
Castle of the XIIIth century on the lands of Gaudelet, was originally an armed fortress of feudal type, equipped with old relay of hunting
Listed in the Inventory of Historical Monuments, the castle of Montfort has no less than 500 years of history! Its carved stone walls, its gothic vaults, its ceilings with carved wooden joists, its gargoyles, its high blazoned chimneys, its oak floors have been the witnesses of several generations. Built in the 13th century on the lands of Gaudelet, this castle was originally an "armed" fortress of feudal type. It is in the heart of a hectare of parkland, punctuated with fountains, water features, statues and antiques, that the former hunting lodge, its guest house, as well as numerous outbuildings, composed of rooms, suites and private apartments, are erected. The castle is temporarily closed, so it is not possible to visit it.
