EARL LE FELSBERG
This family estate brings together, on about ten hectares and fifty or so plots of land, several great terroirs such as those of Felsberg, Eichelberg and Fronholz. Concerned about the preservation of nature as well as the quality of the wines, the Geiger-Koenig estate practises environmentally friendly viticulture. It has been certified organic since 2013. On Wednesday and Thursday mornings in July and August, at 10 am, a guided walk through the village and the vineyards will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about the history, geography, geology and even the dialect of the region. This discovery of the vineyard is ritually followed by a tasting of the estate's wines. To be discovered in particular during your visit to the estate: muscat 2017 (fresh and fruity), sylvaner Vieilles Vignes 2018 (from Schieferberg), klevener Feldsberg Terroir de Schistes 2017 (vanilla peach aromas), pinot gris Spitzheck 2017 (fig and apricot aromas), gewurztraminer Brumes d'Automne 2018 (superb notes of overripe fruit). Want to prolong the pleasure of your visit? The Geiger family has a gîte (4 people) with garden furniture and barbecue at your disposal.
