SAINT MICHAEL'S CHURCH
A church near the medieval enclosure in La Turbie, classified as a historical monument, with a high altar.
Located near the medieval enclosure, the Saint-Michel church was built between 1764 and 1777. Listed as a historical monument, it is part of the Baroque Route. Don't miss the side chapels with barrel vaults, the beautiful communion table in agate and onyx, but also the paintings: a Pietà attributed to Brea, a Saint Mark writing his gospel by Veronese and a Flagellation probably painted by a student of Rembrandt. The high altar, which comes from the Abbey of Saint-Pons in Nice, is very elaborate with mother-of-pearl inlays.
