FÊTE DE L’ORANGER
Orange wine and bitter orange jam competitions are organized to perpetuate the tradition of orange tree cultivation!
The orange groves disappeared at the end of the 20th century, but the memory of this era is perpetuated every Easter with the Fête de l'Oranger at Bar-sur-Loup. It's a festive day, during which visitors can take part in a wide range of workshops, including cooperage, alembic distillation and advice on growing oranges. There's also a market for local producers, accompanied by Provençal music and dance. An orange wine and bitter orange jam competition is also organized.
