Camping with a beautiful view on the city and the bay

Perched on its hill, this campsite has a very beautiful view of the city and the bay. Several shaded restaurants are available, and the small snack bar is very friendly. An important asset: the proximity of the historical centre. It is indeed quite possible to walk down to the city and the seaside: count a little half an hour.

This is a nice campsite with great views, very clean amenities and friendly staff. However there are some issues! First is that there are only a small number of showers and toilets for a site of this size. Secondly these facilities and the site generally is looking very tired and needs a significant overhaul. Finally the price is way too high for the quality of the amenities here. We have stayed in places half this price that are better serviced. The route in is challenging which ever way you choose - best avoided if you have a large van. Steps up and down to town do make you very fit! Access to the train station is great for visiting other towns and Menton is lovely.

Wir haben einen Tag inklusive Übernachtung in Menton verbracht und uns kurzfristig für diesen Campingplatz entschieden. Die Lage ist optimal mit einem atemberaubenden Blick ins Tal. Die Stadt ist über Stufen direkt vom Campingplatz aus erreichbar, was einem das Genießen der vielen Restaurants in Menton ohne schlechtes Gewissen ermöglicht. Besonders hat uns die naturnahe Umgebung gefallen. Allerdings ist der Platz nur für Vans geeignet. Größere Wohnmobile oder Wohnwagen könnten Schwierigkeiten haben, da die Serpentinen sehr eng und steil sind.

Über der Stadt gelegen, enge Stelle Zufahrt, schlecht für Wohnwagen zu erreichen.
Nicht günstig, aber in der Nähe kein offener Platz mit Oktober.
Günstiger Startpunkt um mit der Bahn etwa Nizza oder Monaco zu brauchen.
Freies WLAN, Baguette ist verfügbar.
Sanitär ist ok, einfach Selfmade.

excellent site to explore Menton and Monaco…. this has its price but still moderate. facilities were clean and staff was a bit disorganized but friendly.
