LE VIEUX PORT DE MENTON
Since 1 January 2018, the Société Ports de Menton (SPL) Ports de Menton has been at the helm of the two ports of Menton with a dynamic team that welcomes you all year round. Located facing the mountains and nestled at the foot of the old town, its location makes it a unique stopover. You will have a front row seat to admire the old town flooded by the morning sun which reveals its different warm and ochre colours. A former small Mediterranean fishing port where pleasure boats blend harmoniously with traditional colourful points and fishing boats, the Vieux Port has successfully combined modernity and authenticity. While strolling, you will be able to discover what made its activity of yesteryear, with at the entrance of the port the statue of the protector of the City: St Michel wearing the traditional fishermen's hat as well as the local fishing sales bench. The Old Port nevertheless remains modern with a completely renovated and pedestrian esplanade, a refurbished fairing area in 2013 where you will find professionals in the nautical industry, but also a "public" part with a free boat launch ramp.
