DOVES GARDEN
A 6-hectare garden of different eras and regions, with no flowers, which they say is a reminder of unhappy marriages and funerals.
The garden of Colombières, created by Ferdinand Bac, inseparable from the beautiful adjoining building, extends over a property of 6 hectares. The objective was to build a garden representative of the Mediterranean basin, mixing various periods and regions, all without flowers, because they "reminded him too much of his unhappy marriage and his burial, which he wanted to be as far away as possible. The walk is thus lined with sculptures and ceramics dedicated to figures of ancient mythology or to artists of the Renaissance.
