LE CONCOURS AMATEUR DES ÉTOILES DE MOUGINS

Each year since 2006, alongside the competition of the Young chef, reserved as his name indicates to young professionals in the kitchen, the tourist office Mougins organizes a contest open to everyone: The amateur contest of the Stars of Mougins, in the framework of the «Stars of Mougins», international gastronomy festival which will take place in 2014 from 19 to 21 September in Mougins. With more than 400 chefs received at least once since its creation in 2006, representing more than 400 stars at the Michelin Guide, 34 invited countries and over 25 000 visitors per edition, the Stars of Mougins have become a prestigious meeting of gourmets. During the Young Chef's Contest, the Amateur Competition brings together all the gastronomy enthusiasts. Pierre Gagnaire, Marc Veyrat, Frédéric Anton, Serge Gouloumès, the jury chairs of the previous competitions, each time stressed the quality of the work provided by the candidates.

Screening: candidates are selected on a theme provided by a jury composed of professionals and qualified persons.

Final: candidates whose proposals have been accepted by the jury will be admitted to the final, on 19 or 21 September 2014, when the candidates will have to carry out the screening dish on 5 plates in 1 hour.

Prizes to be won: book, meals in a gourmet restaurant. All participants will be rewarded (the contest 2014 contest will be published soon on the website of the Stars of Mougins).
