Beautiful address for fish specialities at the best prices
La Taca d'Oli (which means "the oil stain" in English) is one of the best local restaurants around, so much unpopular to tourists that it is recommended by the locals. Fish specialities depending on delivery are highlighted, especially the païrol dé peï with nissarda - sea bream filets, red mullet, scorpion fish, mussels, squid and langoustines, simmered in a spicy tomato sauce and flavoured with basil - and a Nice fondue fish consisting of raw sea bream filets and raw red mullet that is cooked on the table in a fish soup with rust and croutons. Another speciality: the bagna cauda, a vegetable fondue consisting of selections of salad of the country depending on the season which is always dipped in a hot anchovy in the pot. As for the menus, you can enjoy a plate of small Nice stuffed vegetables, a delicious beef cheek stews topped with gnocchi and a delicious tiramisu with homemade amaretto. This is indeed a good address set in a traditional and family setting decorated with pictures depicting different views of Nice from the beginning of the 20th century, and everything is sold at affordable prices.

Service au top avec un serveur et un patron attentifs aux moindres besoins de ses clients c'est simple on avait même pas besoin de demander qu'on nous apporter direct. Une ambiance génial et détendu comme les vrais niçois aiment. Je vous conseille vivement ce petit restaurant au cœur du vieux nice à refaire en famille ????
