THE NEGRESCO * * * * *
Opened in 1913 on the Promenade des Anglais and listed as a historical monument, this prestigious hotel in Nice is a real living museum.
How can we talk about the Côte d'Azur's famous palaces without mentioning the Negresco? Opened in 1913 on the Promenade des Anglais and listed as a Historic Monument, it is a veritable living museum.
Its recent renovation included the creation of a terrace at La Rotonde, as well as an executive floor with several fully automated suites and rooms. The internationally-renowned hotel with its immaculate façade has made the marriage of old and new its new trademark. An emblematic experience.

Water was spilled over our table and over our desserts, with no attempt being made to clear it up or replace the dessert, until we asked quite insistently since it was soaked through.
The rest of my party had been before and had a much more pleasant visit the first time round. Perhaps the staff working the front of house in Le Versailles bar were the issue in today’s experience, but it is disappointing when you spend the time and money for a special experience. The venue itself is beautiful but very poor value for money.
Don’t come expecting live jazz music, as advertised on the website, as there was nothing of the sort today. We also tried to be in contact with the venue via email to discuss arrangements and received no response.
