CONSERVATOIRE À RAYONNEMENT RÉGIONAL
The Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice or CRR has been an institution for almost 100 years. It has three poles: music, theater and dance. Founded in 1916, this Azurean conservatory has always formed famous artists: pianists (Gabriel Tacchino, Jacques Taddeï, Philippe Bianconi), violinists (Christian Ferras and Hervé Le Foch), singers (Gilbert Bécaud in particular). The CRRC welcomes 120 teachers and over 1,000 students. It offers a center of excellence to train professionals and is also a convivial space where amateurs can find personal enrichment in the practice of their artistic activity. The Conservatory also has an auditorium of 724 places, the largest in France! Each year more than 100 concerts and performances are played, the majority of which are free of charge.
