MATISSE MUSEUM
Museum housing a collection of paintings, sculptures and various objects that belonged to Henri Matisse and offered to the city of Nice.
The collection of this museum is housed in a villa dating from the 17th century. It is presented around a pictorial initiatory journey and covers the period from 1869 to 1954. It brings together a set of works and objects from Henri Matisse's studio and constitutes an exceptional testimony of his stay on the Riviera. The collection includes dozens of paintings dear to the artist, gouaches and sculptures, hundreds of drawings, engravings and gouache paper items donated by the artist's family. An exceptional legacy.
