MUSEUM PRIORY OF THE OLD HOUSE
It is a unique villa in the world. This old oil mill completely remodelled in a nice villa in the early 30 s restored an interior of the end of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Objects of medieval religious art, typical objects and furniture of the th, th and th centuries, each exhibit presented here was gathered by the collector and passionate art of ancient art, the Reverend father Alfred Lemerre (1868-1960). The French crafts industry is represented by all trades corporations: painters, sculptors, iron, ceramists, potters, chaudronniers or maîtres glass… The Father bequeathed his "museum" to the City in 1935 only condition: leave it as it was created. During your visit, don't miss the th century wooden resserre, the collection of a hundred driven of tin churches manufactured in different French, the carved and painted wooden church dedicated to Santiago, the th-century franc pietà and stained glass windows from the th century biblical scenes.
