VINEGAR MOUNTAIN PARK
A park located in Nice, where you can discover an unspoilt natural setting with a unique panorama of the Baie des Anges.
Mont Vinaigrier Park is located at the eastern end of Nice city. From the road of the Grande Corniche, you discover a preserved wilderness that reveals a unique panorama of the Baie des Anges and the Rade de Villefranche-sur-Mer. This Vinaigrier mountain is a limestone plateau located more than 300 m above sea level with more or less steep slopes. Ligures had been elected on this small plateau with cultivable land and which offers a return to nature on the edge of the city where the freshness of a forest composed of large Alep pine and green oak trees is found. The restoration of the agricultural part of the park and the protective measures of the characteristic landscapes of the nineteenth century niçous slopes earned him the Reconquest Landscape Label from the Department of the Environment in 1992. The house of Vinaigrier houses an educational exhibition that explains the evolution of the site and its farm over the centuries. Tables and benches are available in the upper part of the park for picnic while a trail accessible for all and 2 km links the Col de Villefranche to the Grande Corniche.
