PIAZZA ROSSETTI
The tourist heart of old Nice, the lively PLACE is occupied by the hangings and terraces of the many shopkeepers and ice-cream parlors.
This must-see square is the tourist heart of old Nice. It bears the name of the generous donors to the city of a central islet which, thanks to its demolition, enabled the site to undergo a complete change of perspective, offering an appreciable view of the cathedral and direct access to the Palais Lascaris. The work was carried out in the 1880s with the construction of the street of the same name, which today climbs up to the castle hill. In summer, the square is bustling with activity, with the hangings and terraces of the many shops and ice-cream parlors.
