DOMAINE DE TOASC
Ideally located on the heights of Nice on the eastern slope of the Var plain, 10 minutes from the shores of the Bay of Angels, Domaine de Toasc is a 12-hectare property with 7 hectares of vines and 2 hectares of olive trees. It contributes to the reputation of Bellet, one of the smallest appellations d'origine contrôlée in France, which obtained its label in 1941. Bernard Nicoletti, winemaker and founder of the estate, has created two ranges of emblematic wines (Domaine de Toasc and Lou Vin d'Aqui) which have found their way into the restaurants and hotels of the French Riviera.
He has combined modern techniques with ancestral methods: manual harvesting, de-stemming, and ageing in oak barrels. From this Bellet appellation come three colours: a silky, fat white that ages admirably (grape varieties: rolle and chardonnay), a silky, lively rosé made from the braquet grape variety and a red, a blend of folle noire and grenache that makes an excellent wine for ageing. The estate also produces a lively, pleasant, fresh IGP Alpes-Maritimes wine, the ideal companion for Nice cuisine.
In 2019, he entrusts the management of his estate to the owner of Château de Crémat. A team common to both estates now handles visits, tastings and the organization of events (private and professional) for both estates."
