CHIPPING DRILL
A must-see site in the Val de Sioule, recognized as one of the most beautiful beech forests in Europe. Between Auvergne and Bourbonnais.
Recognized as one of the most beautiful beech forests in Europe, stretching from the Bouble river to La Bosse, its summit. Weather conditions vary with altitude, with cooler temperatures and heavier rainfall at higher altitudes. Sensitive to these changes, the flora and deciduous trees grow on several levels. At the bottom of the massif, oak dominates, supplanted by beech from 500 meters upwards. Higher up, the first conifers appear, occupying almost the entire surface of the summits. A paradise for hikers and mountain bikers.
