A visit of the old houses, the shops, the huge iron rings, the chapel of the white Penitents and the statues
The town is proud of its old houses, its stalls, its lintels decorated with master's insignia, its Templar inscriptions, the remains of the ramparts, of which only a gateway to the town remains, and the ghetto in Gisclette Street, which was closed at night. One can still see the huge iron rings, which were used to tighten the chains of obstruction each evening. In the 16th century Chapel of the White Penitents, there are life-size polychrome wooden statues of Christ and the two thieves and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries.
