TEMPLAR CHURCH
This church houses an altarpiece attributed to the school of Bréa dating from 1533 which represents Saint Anthony as a hermit
The history of Roquebillière is linked to that of the Knights of St John of Jerusalem. The church, also called Saint-Michel-de-Gast, is two-storey high and flanked by a bell tower with a stone spire, while its base is built of beautiful ashlar. Two magnificent crosses can be seen: the first one located in the side façade represents the Maltese cross, the second one, carved on one of the sides of the bell tower remains an enigma. Inside, there is an altarpiece attributed to the Bréa school dating from 1533 which represents Saint Anthony as a hermit.
