VILLA E-1027 EILEEN GRAY
Magnificent seaside residence, open to the public and classified as a historical monument, with superb frescoes inside
After important restorations, this beautiful seaside house classified as an historical monument in 2000 is now opened to public. It was owned by the designer and architect Eileen Gray, accompanied by Jean Badovici. The place combines modernity and science of climatic comfort since 1929. The name of the house is a code for its owners: E for Eileen, 10 for J of Jean, 2 for B of Badovici, 7 for G of Gray. Inside, superb frescoes were painted by Le Corbusier.
