SAINT MARGARET'S CHURCH
Church enlarged in the 15th century and embellished in the 18th century by its inhabitants who gave it a more baroque style in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
In the 13th century, the church was a simple chapel that was enlarged in the 15th century and embellished in the 18th century by its inhabitants, who gave it a more baroque style. Inside, there is a copy of Michelangelo's Last Judgment, a Pietà and a Crucifixion. In memory of a vow made in 1467 during a plague epidemic, asking the Virgin to grant her protection to the city, the statue of the Virgin of Roquebrune, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, is carried every year during the Passion procession from the church of Sainte-Marguerite to the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-la-Pausa.
