Hotel with limited comfort in wooded landscapes, at the foot of the Valley of Wonders.

At an altitude of 1,500 m, at the foot of the Vallée des Merveilles, the Neige-Merveilles site is aimed at those who prefer limited comfort, but what a setting! It's reached on foot (15 min.) via a tiny road that's only accessible to the site's 4x4 vehicles, and runs alongside a torrent. At the end of a small valley, in a landscape sometimes wooded, sometimes mineral, reminiscent of certain features of Nepal. The restored hamlet stands on the site of the largest medieval silver mine in southern France, which opened its doors to visitors in June 2023.

La visite de la mine de Vallauria était extra! La guide italienne tout à fait bilingue a su rendre le moment fort intéressant. L'accueil chez Neige et Merveilles, très bon aussi. Le gros bémol c'est le snack. Très mauvais accueil et service, 12€ pour une quiche accompagnée de qq feuilles de salade flétries. Pas pensé à faire de photo, mais moi je n'aurais jamais osé le mettre dans une assiette. Il y avait dans la microboutique un assortiment d'herbes locales dans des sachets krafts. J'ai voulu prendre deux brins de menthe (littéralement 2) et on m'a demandé 12€. Je les ai reposé.C'était choquant parceque ce n'est pas l'esprit de la Montagne. Dommage

Posto molto bello, accoglienza ottima, posizione perfetta per salire nella valle delle meraviglie. Colazione ok, aperitivo al bar anche. Prezzi abbastanza contenuti. Servizi igienici accettabili, potrebbero essere migliorati.
