LA FÊTE DES VIOLETTES
This festival has become an institution. It pays tribute to the horticulturists who take care of this emblematic flower.
The Festival of Violets, created in 1952 by the Scottish artist Victor Linton, who lives in Tourrettes-sur-Loup, celebrates the end of the season for the growers every first weekend in March. It highlights the horticulturists of the town thanks to its flower parade which has evolved over the years. The bicycles and carriages have been replaced by floats decorated with flowers made by small hands and associations. The festival has become a real institution. A family celebration which smells good the arrival of spring. Animations, visits and strolls.
