L'AQUEDUC DU MOULIN
This single-arch aqueduct bears witness to the importance of Tourrettes-sur-Loup's olive-growing industry in the century.
The aqueduct lies between the Madeleine parking lot and the medieval village. Comprising a single arch, it spans the old road from Vence to Grasse, now rue de la Bourgade. The oil mill is now privately owned, but its large iron wheel can still be seen, once powered by a large waterfall that compensated for the stream's low flow. This aqueduct, along with the two other mills below, of which only the buildings remain, testify to the importance of the olive oil industry in the 19th century.
