CHAPEL OF THE WHITE PENITENTS
Built in the centre of the village, it is worth the detour. Discreetly baroque with its pale yellow facade and small bell tower, this magnificent but small chapel of the White Penitents, also known as the chapelle Sainte-Croix, has been classified as a Historic Monument. Built in the 17th century, next to the church of Saint-Véran, it houses a typical baroque decoration with a gilded and carved wooden altarpiece from the 17th century based on Rubens' Descent from the Cross as well as several large paintings representing the Passion of Christ by the painter Guglielmo Thaone from Nice (18th century).
