ASSOCIATION VALLAURIENNE D'EXPANSION CÉRAMIQUE
Vallaurian Association of ceramic expansion in a former hairdressing salon, with linocuts to discover
As early as 1948, Picasso, then living in Vallauris, participated in the exhibitions of local artists and craftsmen and realized, until 1964, the poster of the event of which he offered the original copy to the association of potters, which became A.V.E.C in 1957.
Today, installed in the former hairdressing salon of Eugenio Arias, hairdresser and friend of Picasso, the association regularly organizes thematic exhibitions which present the diversity and the know-how of our ceramists. You will also be able to discover the linocuts offered by the Spanish master as well as photos and hairdressing equipment which constitute precious souvenirs of that time.
