ST. PETER'S CHAPEL OF THE FISHERMEN
Chapel also called Cocteau chapel, the painter restored it, decorated it and painted frescoes with dense drawings
It's also known as the "Chapelle Cocteau", as the painter completely restored it in 1956. Located on the harbor, it was built in honor of the patron saint of fishermen: Saint Peter. Cocteau painted dense frescoes of freely expressed religious inspiration or more popular themes, such as a tribute to the gypsies of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. You can also admire the Apocalypse candlesticks with God's unique eye, baked in the Valbonne kilns.
