Departmental nature park with a natural freshwater pond, unique in its kind on the coast between Cannes and Nice.
This departmental nature park, unique of its kind on the coast between Cannes and Nice, spreads out 100 hectares of undulating green spaces a few meters from the shore, in the commune of Villeneuve-Loubet. The fauna and flora, surprisingly preserved, are remarkable in the immense meadows, woods and wetlands that make it up. The park is home to the only natural freshwater pond on the coast of the Alpes-Maritimes, around which nest sedentary and migratory birds that can be seen from the ornithological observatory placed by the General Council. An exceptional biotope! The animal life is intense: wild rabbits, squirrels, hedgehogs, batrachians, snakes, foxes... The park offers many picnic facilities near playgrounds for children. Archaeological excavations have recently uncovered the remains of a Roman village and a temple dedicated to Mercury. You can walk on the many footpaths, do sports (1.9 km fitness trail) or simply relax, recharge your batteries and breathe with your lungs wide open. A real oasis of greenery in the heart of concrete areas; a pleasant stopover for both Maralpins and tourists in need of calm and greenery. Parking spaces adjacent to the park allow for unhindered parking. The park also has facilities for people with reduced mobility and the icing on the cake: admission is free.

The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
