WOLF'S BANK PARK
A magnificent park with spectacular gorges and a huge picnic area, offering a fun and instructive trail.
This magnificent départemental nature park covers 52 hectares in the communes of Villeneuve-Loubet, Cagnes-sur-Mer and La Colle-sur-Loup. From Villeneuve-Loubet, a vast parking lot leads north towards the Vésenée discovery trail, then towards the spectacular gorges (the path is sometimes narrow to get there), or towards the sea, via the Parc Saint-Véran, where a huge picnic area allows you to relax in the heart of nature, before discovering the fauna and vegetation on a fun and instructive trail. The elegance of the majestic plane trees and numerous broad-leaved trees offer a shady walk perfect for hot summer days. The fauna is well preserved, so you'll be able to see the tracks of badgers, wild boars, weasels, foxes and other small rodents (muscardin, dormouse, etc.). This verdant paradise is also home to many beautiful birds, including purple herons, finches, chickadees, robins and many others.
The park takes its name from a small coastal river that flows for 42 km and has its source in the Grasse pre-Alps. It winds its way quietly from the highest limestone plateaus through wild, cool gorges to the sea. So it's easy to stop for a refreshing dip along the way. The trails are equipped with tables and benches along the horticultural path, as well as water-themed panels.
