Le Petit Futé recommends discovering the artist Ciotaden Michael Viviani in Aix-En-Provence, the exhibition entitled Atmosphère is at the Galerie Saltiel from May 22 to June 16. Young talented artist Michael Viviani graduated in visual communication and graphic arts from the Axe Sud school in Marseille, his work is strongly inspired by film and music posters, which he tears up, glues, to recreate worlds that speak to us. This master of collage presents us at Galerie Saltiel with a collection of works made from lacerated and mounted posters on canvas as well as paintings using the same visual effect of laceration. The artist has chosen to continue his recent investigations into the society in which we live. Politics, ecological issues, excessive consumption, the works presented sublimate human decadence and madness. Michael Viviani also broadens this societal theme and draws his inspiration from music (Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, Massive Attack, Serge Gainsbourg...), cinema and photojournalism (inspired by the photos of the Venezuelan Elyxandro Cegarra). He also touches on eroticism through coloured canvases. Viviani's work is atypical, with her techniques, particularly laceration, which allows her to create a myriad of combinations of sentences, song texts and slogans, navigating between the present and the past. This exhibition will not leave anyone indifferent.
