Cooking with Corsican products in a village bistro with terrace in the centre of Aix-en-Provence.
Jean-Pierre, a young Corsican from Ajaccio, has settled in this quiet square in the town centre. We appreciate the village bistro style decoration with a small terrace on the square, but also the menu with, as you can imagine, Corsican products! Charcuterie (lonzo, coppa and PDO sausages) and cheeses (tomme and goat's cheese) are the specialities featured on the convivial boards to be enjoyed, especially in the evening with friends. The Corsica burger with tomme, panzetta and fig jam is more substantial and should satisfy the hungriest of appetites, especially as it is served with home fries and green salad. A special treat is the oven-roasted Camembert with honey or pesto, served with ham chiffonade, steamed potatoes and green salad. A meal in itself! And also good little dishes "à la française": confit lamb mice with a seasonal gratin or prawns in paprika cream with aubergines and broccoli. Delicious and good atmosphere!

On the way there we got lost and knew we'll be very late. So I called the place and the waiter (who also happen to be the owner) answered and assured me it's no problem.
He also translated the entire menu for us and recommended some dishes, including one good desert.
I had the Risotto which was very good.
And since the reservation was made online on 'The Fork' website, we got 20% discount on the food.
