Simple family cooking at a low price in a cosy restaurant near the Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence.
Located just steps from the Cours Mirabeau, on an adjacent street, side Mazarin, Croquemitoufle is a provence adresse address. Annie, the head of the place, offers simple, cheap family cuisine, which is very important in this very central place. The menu varies according to mood and selected products in the morning. What a cost and a home therefore! Day pie accompanied by salad, faux garni… Dishes are accompanied by vegetables, each day: . with its famous Sel salt potatoes. An honest grand-mother kitchen. Annie does not forget vegetarians with a special plate with a galette to vegetables (quinoa and soybeans). Side dessert, taste the delicious compote with steam cooked apples, lemon pie, chocolate-based chocolate or café-style café. The atmosphere is not very cosy with the radio in the background music (at least the day of our passage) and a basic furniture. On the other hand, the reception of Annie is warm and the value for money is interesting. The little plus: The inner courtyard you can enjoy when the weather is fine.
