On February 16, 17 and 18, the second edition of the Red Bull Crashed Ice was held in Marseille at Villeneuve Bargemon Square. Extreme skaters from more than 25 different countries were present at the event. An exceptional site had been set up for the competition: a lit and lit track 340 metres long, 8 metres wide, a surreal start from the square in front of the Intercontinental Hotel, sharp turns and an arrival on the old port... Sportsmen could reach up to 80 km/h in groups of four. The riders had to reach the finish line in the old port as quickly as possible. Cameron Naasz of the United States won this second edition in the men's event, Jacqueline Legere of Canada, the two-time world champion in the women's event and Mirko Lahti in the junior event. Le Petit Futé on the field, retains exceptional images of these races. Especially since we can be proud of the French: in the women's category Esther Banc is 10th and Theo Richalet-Chaudeur 7th in the junior category. With the overflowing energy of its athletes and its euphoric atmosphere, the Red Bull Crashed Ice is a competition to be seen. See you next year for a new edition in the city of Bouches-du-Rhône!
