Restaurant offering many typical home-made dishes of the region in Obernai.
The Dîme is a real institution! First of all, it is one of the most beautiful buildings of the medieval period of Obernai. Built around 1240 and then redone in the Renaissance. Its period gable with small Romanesque windows with columns and capitals is very attractive. You will find here many typical homemade dishes of the region as well as special dishes for vegetarians that the regulars of the region do not hesitate to come often and we can taste: presskopf, snails, foie gras, sauerkraut, bäeckeoffe, queen bites, flambé pies, salads, cordon bleu, kidneys, tab... The wines on the menu are from the family estate Hugues Strohm, owners of the Dîme since 1976. Finally, discover the typical schnapps in ice cream cups: Melba-style cherries with kirsch, "Ras le bol" cup with mirabelles and eaux-de-vie or sorbet with gewurztraminer marc. All this is served in large quantities and always with a smile and attention to detail!
