Restaurant offering many typical home-made dishes of the region in Obernai.
The Dîme is a real institution! First of all, it is one of the most beautiful buildings of the medieval period of Obernai. Built around 1240 and then redone in the Renaissance. Its period gable with small Romanesque windows with columns and capitals is very attractive. You will find here many typical homemade dishes of the region as well as special dishes for vegetarians that the regulars of the region do not hesitate to come often and we can taste: presskopf, snails, foie gras, sauerkraut, bäeckeoffe, queen bites, flambé pies, salads, cordon bleu, kidneys, tab... The wines on the menu are from the family estate Hugues Strohm, owners of the Dîme since 1976. Finally, discover the typical schnapps in ice cream cups: Melba-style cherries with kirsch, "Ras le bol" cup with mirabelles and eaux-de-vie or sorbet with gewurztraminer marc. All this is served in large quantities and always with a smile and attention to detail!

J'y étais un vendredi soir. J'ai passé un très bon moment. Le plat était copieux, bon et bien présenté.
The first time that I have to eat at the Tithe I had 10 years it was during my arrival at my Papa in the town of Obernai...
The past and I always take as much pleasure to get to this me or the welcome was always pleasant and in keeping with dishes and wines are available.
I have been for 28 years in Paris region and I at least lunch and dinner at the Tithe thirty times a year, and I never had bad surprises if is not eating and drinking too (; and to tell me good I will start the regime tomorrow...
Highly my back in Alsace for Easter, I lick me the chops in advance.
The Tithe is the Alsatian typical restaurant. The menu is varied and hearty dishes, but do not expect refined dishes. Traditional Alsace cuisine, but a little too " lourde" with my taste.
