EGLISE SAINT-PIERRE
Stunning 12th-century church perched on a promontory with wide buttresses. Worth seeing for its mural paintings.
Carolingian chapel with carved stones adorning the bell tower. Paintings show the importance of the Oeil and the Cordes site. Saint-Pierre is represented three times. Built in two phases in the 12th century, it was consecrated in 1170, the date engraved in the choir. Originally a priory church belonging to the royal abbey of Saint-Cyran-en-Brenne, diocese of Bourges. Sold as national property during the French Revolution. Acquired by a private individual, he donated it to the commune in 1852.
