Discover an impressive natural sculpture, an unusual natural site in Château-Ville-Vieille.
2 km from Château Ville-Vieille, in the direction of Molines, you'll find the natural site of the Demoiselle Coiffée, a surprising witness to geological time. This 15-metre-high stone column - formed from a glacial moraine - is topped by a block of stone, like a flat cap, which protects it from erosion. This natural sculpture is the result of the natural erosion of friable rock topped by a block of more resistant rock. Although there is a short path leading to the foot of the Demoiselle, there is no viewpoint from which to admire it from the road.
