On the plateau des Herbeys, on the Route Napoleon, is a true paradise on earth. The origin of the Château des Herbeys dates back to the 12th century, but it was in the following century that the present building took shape and was remodelled in the 16th century. A long history and a marvellous natural setting for a splendid residence that became a hotel-restaurant under the management of the Delas family. A family that has perfectly preserved the authenticity of the place while transforming it for its new destination. The gardens with their animal park offer an enchanting landscape, the heated swimming pool, tennis and mini-golf are invitations to well-being and the interior of the castle seems straight out of the pages of a fairy tale book. The beauty is complemented by the quality of the facilities. Spacious and cosy rooms with four-poster beds, bathrooms with stained glass windows and whirlpools. The table is also exceptional and the local products are sublimated by the Delas family's cuisine. On the gourmet menu, the famous home-made foie gras marble, a gratin of sweetbreads with cream, a sautéed chicken with crayfish... The Château des Herbeys is still the ideal place to organize your professional (seminars...) or private (weddings...) receptions in a prestigious and very accessible setting. It is located 30 minutes from the sanctuary of Nore Dame de la Salette, 15 minutes from the colbayard golf course, on the edge of the Ecrins park. A really smart address.

Here my opinion regarding the restaurant:
superb setting.
Average cuisine (nothing spectacular)
Bill very savoury compared to the service
Deplorable service: I request a plate of vegetables (except card), bring raw vegetable dish me mixed with shrimps.
I request if you can freshen up me L dish because I do not eat shrimps.
One sets out again with my plate and takes you to me from another, what I discover a piece of shrimp in the heart of my vegetables... I do not finish my dish.
When the waitress me request if any S passed I well say it not and the piece shrimp shows, it to return contradict and me that it was the chef when it rebuilt the strange dish......And did the shrimp end, it come from or?
In short, another Flat, seeds germinated as a decoration on practically all dishes... (given all cases of e.coli discovered these days, I find this decoration of bad taste)
I was also surprised content of the farandole desserts (2 pieces of cake + 2 balls sorbet)
Finally, no point for the waitress who slightly took me for imbecile, as a result not just one goodbye...
