THE NATIONAL ALPINE BOTANICAL CONSERVATORY
National Alpine Botanical Conservatory, created in 1991, a place dedicated to the conservation of the plant heritage in Gap.
Created in 1991, it is entirely dedicated to the knowledge and conservation of the plant heritage of a vast territory including : Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Ain, Isère, Drôme, Hautes-Alpes and Alpes de Haute Provence. The CBNA is based in Gap where it has various conservation facilities: a seed bank and a conservatory garden for the rarest or most threatened species in the Alps. Since 2007, it has a branch in Bourget-du-Lac in Savoie.
